(Senior) Property Underwriting Analyst
Position Description
Provide support to Large Accounts Property Underwriting that enables efficient and profitable underwriting while simultaneously meeting the corporate needs for regulatory compliance, financial and management reporting, and risk control (regulatory, financial, market position). Tasks will be of a regional and global nature. The role holder reports to the Regional Product Manager.
Accountabilities
· Develop, maintain and support the Property Underwriting rules & guidelines, products, wordings, tools, systems and processes. · Promote Property Underwritings adherence to the regulatory compliance and risk control. · Assist other units (ex. CAT Management, Risk Management, Regulatory, Actuarial, Finance, Tax, Ceded Re, etc) in the interpretation and collection of Property data. Attempt to fulfill the needs of other units in a way that minimizes interruptions of frontline underwriting staff. · Analyze industry and corporate underwriting issues which arise, and construct necessary guidance or adapt existing underwriting materials to handle the issues. · Conduct audits of branch office adherence to the Property Rules & Guidelines and the correct usage of tools and processes. · Conduct training as needed on underwriting related topics, tools, systems or processes.

· Quality and timeliness of work products and efforts. · Positive feedback from customers (frontline underwriting staff and managers, and other units interacted with) · Successful self-prioritization of tasks. · Clarity of communications.
Skills and Knowledge:
· Global Property Underwriting knowledge (minimum 5 years) · Knowledge of local underwriting standards, wordings and processes. · Ability to understand the functionality of systems and processes, and to clearly formulate development, maintenance, training and reporting needs. · Experienced in dealing with and working in different cultures · Proficient presentation skills · Skilled in time management and work techniques, including project management · Good abilities with common Microsoft Office applications
