Our client is an independent agency that feels strongly the entire organization is responsible for its sales success. They invest significant time and resources in supporting the sales and service process. They have a robust group benefits division which includes actuarial services. Through your work as an Actuarial Analyst, you'll provide statistical analysis, research, and market insight which leads to more competitive pricing and coverage options for the insured.
Actuarial Analyst Responsibilities
• Performs actuarial research, experience studies, statistical analyses and calculations
• Builds financial projection models
• Performs GAAP valuations for financial reporting
• Calculates premium reserves and other financial statements required for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
Actuarial Analyst Qualifications:
• Recent college graduate or offer 1-2 years of related actuarial experience; if you are a recent college graduate an actuarial internship is highly desired
• Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field a must
• Completion of at least one Society of Actuaries exam is preferred.
