Our client is a brand new insurance company that specializes in providing auto insurance for classic and modern collector cars ans is looking for an Underwriter specializing in collector car insurance, you will play a crucial role in assessing risk and determining appropriate coverage for our clients' prized possessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Underwriting: Determine whether to accept, modify, or decline a risk through evaluation of the vehicle’s value, location, usage, and other information pertinent to the decision in alignment with UW guidelines and standards.
Policy Review: Review existing policies for renewals or modifications, considering any changes in the vehicle's condition, market value, or owner circumstances.
Client Consultation: Communicate with clients and our agent partners to gather additional information, clarify policy details, and address inquiries or concerns.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, staying informed about changes in laws or regulations that may impact underwriting practices.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, policy information, and client interactions, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as claims, customer service, and sales to provide exceptional service and support to clients throughout the insurance process.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in underwriting or servicing with underwriting authority, preferably in collector car or auto insurance.
Strong understanding of insurance principles, underwriting guidelines, and risk assessment techniques.
Proficiency in analyzing data, interpreting financial information, and making sound underwriting decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and industry professionals.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Personal lines insurance license and strong insurance knowledge.
Remote position, anywhere in Texas.

Salary:  $60,000 - $80,000
Bonus/Benefits:  Healthcare, Dental, Vision, 401K; Bonus - 5%
